"I Shall Make the Dead Rise and Eat the Living!" — Mesopotamian Queen of the Dead Phone Wallpaper

Before Hades. Before the Devil. There was Ereshkigal.

This commanding phone wallpaper features the Queen of the Mesopotamian Underworld in all her ancient glory — winged, flanked by lions and owls, carved in stone and absolutely done with your nonsense. The quote above and below her is not a threat. It's a promise. One she made approximately 4,000 years ago.

For the ancient history devotees, the mythology scholars, and anyone who appreciates that the original goddess of death didn't need a dramatic backstory — she was the backstory.

"If you do not send that god back to me, I shall raise up the dead so that they outnumber the living! I shall make the dead rise and eat the living!" 💀👑
